Huawei Nova 6 SE Description
Huawei Nova 6 SE Design
The standard edition of Huawei Nova 6 has something going on with its design. Something it has borrowed (or copied or whichever the case) from Apple iPhone 11 Pro. Can you guess what it is? If you guessed anything to do with the camera set up then congratulations to you. What makes Huawei Nova 6 SE stand out design wise is the square camera setup module on its back panel that obviously borrowed inspiration from Apple’s latest 2019 flagship the 11 Pro. I think is daring to see such audacity. Unlike Nova 6 it has a single hole punch camera set up facing you, keeping things simple and fine. So the reply to the who do not fancy the notch on Nova 6 is this, Nova 6 SE has got you covered. This phone’s dimensions and weight are as follows: 159.2 x 76.3 x 8.7 mm, 183 g.
Huawei Nova 6 SE Display
There isn’t so much of a difference with the displays of Nova 6 and Nova 6 SE except for the latter’s has 401 ppi density and this 398 ppi density, the size and the resolution. Both phones have decent displays as you would expect of Huawei even with cheaper phones than these. Here is an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen 6.4 inches with a 1080 x 2310 pixels. It is a good display this bank on it. When ever did Huawei provide an LTPS IPS LCD technology not worth noticing in recent days? I cannot recall and surely let us hope to see this trend increase in popularity among Huawei smartphones.
Huawei Nova 6 SE Performance
I would simply classify the performance of Huawei Nova 6 SE as standard. That is compared to Nova 6. But independently this is a mid range smartphone with strengths of multitasking, power efficiency and generally a smooth user experience. It is an Android 10.0 smartphone with EMUI 10, a HiSilicon Kirin 810 (7 nm) chipset, comes with an Octa-core (2×2.27 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×1.88 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and a Mali-G52 MP6 GPU. For Huawei to install the latest software even on a mid range smartphone shows how much this company strives to please its customers. Android 10 in tandem with EMUI equal satisfaction.
Thankfully there is support for internal storage expansion up to 256GB (uses shared SIM slot) here with an NM (Nano Memory). Initial internal storage is 128GB whereas memory is a whooping 8GB RAM. Yes you read that right, 8GB RAM.
Huawei Nova 6 SE Camera
So four cameras on the back and one on the front. In total Huawei Nova 6 SE gas five cameras. I think, after its main 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2″, 0.8µm, PDAF shooting lens the 16 MP, f/2.0, (wide), 1/3.1″, 1.0µm selfie camera comes in second in performance. The other three lenses are an 8 MP, f/2.4, (ultra wide), a 2 MP, f/2.4, 27mm (wide), dedicated macro camera and a 2 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor. It should also bring you joy knowing that video recording with Huawei Nova 6 SE is up to 4K 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30fps. Again, because this phone has a camera module same to that of iPhone 11 Pro, it stands out.
Huawei Nova 6 SE Battery
Thankfully there is a non-removable Li-Po 4200 mAh battery here that is charged via fast battery charging 40W. This battery capacity will see you through a whole day of usage with so much ease and peace of mind.
Huawei Nova 6 rings its bells in minds of many every other time Huawei Nova 6 SE is mentioned. For this reason I find it necessary to list the differences between these two for the sake of telling the apart. But just to be clear, Huawei Nova 6 is the more powerful of them both. The table below will compare them both. That is to say SE is acronym for standard edition.
