Oppo F11 Pro
I will make a reference to Oppo Find X somewhere along this review so before it gets to that, you can check it out here: Oppo Find X on Phone Place Kenya.
The Oppo F11 come in two variants, the very Oppo F11 and this, the Oppo F11 Pro. Both are midrange smartphones with unique features (Pro especially) that I look to discuss as in this article. We have however discussed the former in a different article also in the link provided above so check it out. Brace yourselves, this is the Oppo F11 Pro review.

Design and build
The design and build basically refers to the outward look and the feel in hand respectively of the Oppo F11 Pro.
On the back is an appealing symmetrical arrangement of the centrally placed vertical bar that houses the dual camera setup below the LED flash. Below it is a fingerprint scanner that is quite accurate at its job, and fast too. You will also see some writing (all in vertical orientation and centrally placed) above Oppo branding. This back is made of tough plastic that one would easily mistake for a glass back due to its deceptive looks.
On the front is where the fun is really. I say so because the Oppo F11 Pro is a bezel less smartphone all thanks to its motorized selfie camera that pops out when you prompt it to. That is- it will do so when you want to take a selfie camera or when you are unlocking via face recognition tech. it is a cool feature for sure one that we have seen before on other smartphones and first on Oppo with the Oppo Find X.
The bezel-less display I have mentioned is a 6.53 inches panel.
It is a good-looking smartphone the Oppo F11 Pro and has that motorized selfie camera just adds the fun to it.
Display and camera
This is what I can report here. Under settings the display accuracy can be enhanced when adjusted to warmer just so you get the very best of it.
It however still is an impressive 6.53 inches LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that as a 103.6 cm2 (~84.4% screen-to-body ratio), 1080 x 2340 pixels (~397 ppi density) resolution and a 19.5:9 ratio. Some features like multitouch and 16M colors are expected to be here so I may not really talk about them. It is a decent display.
Capturing images with a professional touch has never been so easy (on a midrange smartphone) as the Oppo F11 Pro has made it become. It combines a 48MP camera and its 5MP depth sensor lens, large image sensor, large aperture and AI image processing to achieve this.
Video recording on the primary camera is 1080p@30fps yet its Mediatek Helio P70 (12nm) chipset is able and very capable of supporting 4K video recording. As to why Oppo did not ensure 4K video recording when they could, no one knows. Video recording is still crisp though.
The front facing camera is a motorized pop up hardware. It shoots with 16MP clarity and sharpness. The images are sharp and impressive as you will learn once you shoot your first picture with it.
I say camera performance on the Oppo F11 is 8 out of 10- straight A performance. You will enjoy the brilliant portrait mode and Ultra night mode on this phone.
Performance and memory
Running Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6, Oppo F11 Pro comes with a Helio P70 (12nm) chipset, an Octa-core (4×2.1 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. ColorOS has all functions of Android Pie, it is only in looks that the two differ. There is yet a dedicated chipset for AI driven functions Oppo F11 Pro may need to carry. Games for example play very smoothly and there is a dedicated game app for managing and customizing your games.
With respect to internal storage and memory you get to choose between a 64/128 GB + 6 GB RAM or 64 GB + 4 GB RAM. All internal storage options can be expanded using a microSD, up to 256 GB (uses SIM 2 slot).
Oppo F11 Pro has a non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery. It has fast battery charging 20W (VOOC 3.0). This is a very decent capacity and to prove its decency it lasts up to a whole day (and a half sometimes depending on user’s usage).
|Pros of the F11 Pro||Cons of the F11 Pro|
This is a smartphone I can strongly recommend. Although for its price you can get other solid smartphones, Oppo F11 Pro still remains a firm and good midrange smartphone. With its great cameras and exciting user experience, this is a phone you will love from the word go.
